Matador Ag Corp case study
Matador brings together cattle ranchers, researchers and conservationists around a shared community pasture, spanning cultivated crops, forage and native grassland. It’s a genuinely broad organization, but before this engagement, it had no way to show any of that to the outside world.
The challenge
Matador had no online presence at all. That made it difficult to articulate the brand and the full range of what the co-op actually does, from cattle ranching and pasture management to its research partnerships and conservation work, to members, partners and anyone else looking for it online. Day-to-day operations were similarly informal, with no shared system for members to access their own documents or communicate as a co-op.
The solution
TAG designed and built a new website for Matador from the ground up, one built specifically to articulate the brand and services clearly: cattle ranching and pasture management, research and innovation partnerships, conservation and sustainability, and consulting. Alongside the website, TAG set up Matador’s online business operations on Microsoft 365 and SharePoint, including a members’ portal where documents and shared files can be accessed directly on SharePoint or from the website. TAG also onboarded and trained Matador’s staff on the new tools, and continues to support the co-op through an ongoing support retainer.
The results
Matador Ag Corp now has a real, public home online at matadorag.com that reflects the actual scale and scope of the co-op’s work, along with a Microsoft 365 and SharePoint environment members can rely on for their own documents and communication, something the co-op had no way to do before. Staff are trained and comfortable using the tools day to day, with TAG continuing to support the co-op on an ongoing retainer.
